Eviction Notice

Coffee with Kari this morning. Lunch with Morgan this afternoon. Dinner with Krista and friends this evening. Slipped in the middle of all that, a stroll through my neighborhood, perhaps one of the biggest reasons why I wanted to come home. Treasures like this old sofa that's been tossed out on the side walk as if it was served an eviction notice are one of my many favorites things about living on Beacon Hill

Settling In

We've been back in Seattle for 10 days now and we're settling in nicely. Willy is still a little uncertain about the fire trucks, buses and all the people but she's coming along. The weather the past few days has been beautiful sunny and warm. I did a shoot on Monday for Vain and the Vera project. I'll share some images later this week. So much fun!

Home Sweet Home

We're home. We've been back in Seattle since Saturday and I have to say being home feels so good. I had no idea how much I missed being in the city. I missed my friends, my family. I missed all the people. Today is one of the first days in a long long time (longer than I can remember) that I actually wanted to carry my camera around with me. It's great to be home...

On The (Time To) Go

We leave for Seattle tomorrow. The u-Haul is packed and ready to go. I'll drive a 26' truck more than 500 miles over three mountain passes to return home. I can't wait.

KK and the Snappy Snap

We've been out and about, making images of Montana during the last few days. Krista got a snappy snap for Christmas and has been taking pictures. Fun. Currently she's cataloging all her clothes - what an awesome project. Just think, she'll have all her clothes on her iPhone so when she's shopping she can access her "digital" wardrobe any where, any time.

Final Days

We're down to our last 14 days in Missoula. This time, in two weeks, I will be in my Seattle house. I'm looking forward to walking through the neighborhood and getting coffee from Victrola. I'm going to try to spend the next few days documenting Missoula and my neighborhood...

Two Weeks Notice

Willy on the day we got her:

Two weeks later:

Wow! What a difference a week makes. Amazing to see little Willy grow so quickly. She's amazingly smart. It's nice having a dog in the house again.

Assignment Whidbey Island project with Sam Abell

I just received an email from Karen at Pacific NorthWest Art School letting me know that I have been accepted for Sam Abell's Assignment Whidbey Island project coming up in August. I can't wait to be back in the Pacific Northwest and to have a chance to work with Sam again. Things are starting to pick up again!

Our Newest Member of the Family

After looking all week, we found a puppy today to adopt. She's from a Shelter in Polson, MT about an hour from here. She so sweet. We haven't named her yet...

Cops and Robbers: An Update

I haven't written much these past eight weeks. I always tend to shut down during the holidays but this year was even more difficult as we battled through the last few weeks of Oslo's life. We lost him on January 3. Saying goodbye to something that meant so much to me was almost impossible and looking back I have no idea how we managed. His loss has been devastating. Today, we're better. It's been almost a month and we're slowly finding our feet and getting back to normal. The house is terribly quiet and one of my biggest fears of not having Olso with us came true on Monday when our house was burglarized. I can't help but think the two events are somehow connected but I'll never know. I just know I miss him so much and would give anything to be able to throw the tennis ball for him again...
